The 8th Social Justice Week at Ryerson University is happening next week, from Monday, October 22 until Friday, October 26. This year, the theme is The Power We Have, which will highlight the inspiring, and often under-appreciated efforts of grassroots organizations and community members currently involved in social justice activism.

This year’s program celebrates the power we have, on campus and beyond, to collectively transform ourselves and society.

You can find the full program here: https://www.ryerson.ca/socialjustice/

Some of the events touch on the themes of Indigenous governance, harm reduction initiatives, policing in Toronto, and the 2018 municipal elections.

All events are free, and open to all students, and community members!

*All venues are fully wheelchair accessible. If you require any accessibility accommodations to ensure your inclusion in this event, please contact Heather Willis, Accessibility Coordinator at the Office of the Vice President: 416-979-5000, x 4144 or email accessibility@ryerson.ca.

I look forward to seeing you at some of these events!

In solidarity,

Leizl Yance, President
