12215244664?profile=RESIZE_710xThe Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development has launched a survey to help identify opportunities to improve credential recognition for internationally trained newcomers and individuals certified in another province seeking a license in Ontario. The survey will gather input from a broad range of partners and stakeholders to help inform options on how the credential recognition system could be strengthened.

The survey seeks input on:

  • Opportunities for improvements in the registration process for regulated professions and skilled trades within Ontario
  • Supports that will help people get registered in a regulated profession or skilled trade, including those with education, training and/or work experience from outside of Ontario or Canada
  • Challenges specific to people who are registered in a regulated profession and skilled trade in another Canadian province or territory, who are applying for a license in Ontario

The survey will run from August 30, 2023 to September 18, 2023, and can be accessed at www.ontario.ca/page/survey-credential-recognition. The survey is available in English and French, and ten other languages (Arabic, Bengali, Chinese (Simplified), Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, Tagalog, Ukrainian, and Urdu).
