Learn how to apply research findings to your own practice and improve services for immigrants, refugees, and people with precarious or no status in Canada.

The Wellesley Institute is excited to offer a second opportunity to take our new online course, Research and Front-Line Work with Newcomers to Canada. This training is intended to build knowledge and skills among front-line workers and their managers in the Greater Toronto Area in how to design, carry out, and share research with policymakers and other practitioners. Participants will also learn about ways to apply research findings to their own practice. This can improve settlement services and healthcare for immigrants, refugees, and people with precarious or no status in Canada.

This course is best for those who have little experience with social research and are looking to expand their knowledge. Please register only if you are located within the Greater Toronto Area.

The facilitated course is offered at no cost and will take place over six weeks, from January 23 to March 3, 2023. Each module takes 60 to 90 minutes, and a new one will become available for review and discussion each week. You can complete the modules at any time during each week, at your own pace.
