Hsin-Yun Peng (Jaden), PhD Student at the Department of Social Work, York University. She is currently the project coordinator of Butterfly, Asian Migrant Sex Workers Support Network, and the Board of Chinese Canadian National Council Toronto Cahpter (CCNCTO). 

She completed an M.A. in Gender Studies from Shih Hsin University and B.S. in Mental Rehabilitation at Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan. She was providing vocational services and career planning for disadvantaged people and sexual minorities in nonprofit organizations and the government. She is involved both in Taiwan LGBTQ rights and LGBT newcomer services in Canada. Her current research aims to explore Chinese Lesbian newcomers in Canada, their migration, life strategy, gender performance, identities, and belongings.
