The ACCES Employment – Healthcare Connections team is pleased to announce 2 upcoming online programs that will be offered tentatively from:
- Sept 25 to Nov 3, 2023 - Health Systems
- Oct 16 to Nov 24, 2023 - Community Health
They are hosting regular Information Session where interested clients can learn more about the program.
Healthcare Connections supports internationally educated healthcare professionals in securing non-licensed alternative employment in the broader healthcare sector. The program includes sector-specific learning modules and assistance in securing employment along with networking opportunities. Healthcare Connections are funded by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada and Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development.
Eligibility Criteria
- Permanent Resident, Convention Refugee, Refugee Claimant, Naturalized Citizen or CUAET Visa Holder of Canada
- IEHPs with at least one year of relevant work experience OUTSIDE of Canada
- Educated at a post-secondary level OUTSIDE of Canadain a regulated health profession OR a non-regulated healthcare/allied healthcare profession
- Minimum English Level of CLB 7+
- Little to no previous work experience within the Canadian broader healthcare sector
- Must reside in Ontario
Cost
- Health Systems stream: Free
- Community Health stream: The program fee is $500 + HST. Participants can apply for reimbursement based on financial need.
