I am a Dental Surgeon with deep interest in the domain of health research with focus on drug safety and risk management. I worked as clinical practitioner before moving into drug safety. I have hands-on experience with the various aspects of drug safety operations including case workflow, safety database management, regulatory compliance, and signal detection. I also worked for various stakeholders with reporting obligations to regulatory agencies such as Health Canada, US-FDA and the European Medicines Agency (EMA). I was also involved in the transition management of his previous organization, into the updated R3 platform when the revised ICH E2b R2 guidelines were implemented worldwide in November 2017. I am also trained on Health Canadas adverse event reporting requirement and procedures, CanadaVigilance database and Eudravigilace systems of the EMA. My special interest is in the EVDAS signal detection system of EMA and I hope to work with a similar Canadian initiative in the future.
