To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Toronto Newcomer Day, the City of Toronto Newcomer Office is hosting an official Toronto Newcomer Day launch event which will take place on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Rotunda -Toronto City Hall (100 Queen St. West).
Join us for an evening dedicated to honouring newcomers in the workforce, showcasing newcomer contributions, and celebrating their journey in our vibrant community. Highlights of the evening include a steel pan performance, catering and refreshments, and remarks from elected officials, partners and City of Toronto leadership. In addition, we will be featuring a newcomer art exhibit with the theme of “Homeland Memories”. This exhibit aims to celebrate the remarkable talent and diversity of artists within the newcomer and refugee community, highlighting their invaluable contributions to our cultural landscape since their arrival.
Please note that space is limited. Registration and doors open at 5:30 pm. As such, we ask that anyone interested in attending please register their attendance no later than Thursday, May 16, 2024. As this event takes place in City Hall, please note you will have to go through a security screening.
