AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The Equity Office at the City of Brampton will focus on identifying and removing barriers in the workplace and community regardless of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, disability, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, same sex partnership, age, marital status, family status, immigrant status, receipt of public assistance, political affiliation, religious affiliation, level of literacy, language and/or socio-economic status. Reporting to the Manager of the Equity Office, the Advisor will work to support the development and implementation of the Diversity and Inclusion Strategy using knowledge and expertise in this area to identify gaps and barriers. The Advisor will support projects related to the creation, implementation and evaluation of the strategy. This incumbent will conduct research, prepare reports and presentations on ongoing work to ensure alignment with the Equity office mandate and goals while liaising with various community groups and internal and external stakeholders.
