Job Description

Purpose of Position:

This position will assist with the implementation of assigned protocols, conduct patient and caregiver assessments and ratings as well as administrative, and data entry aspects in accordance with TMP policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities – Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator:

  • Conduct the clinical research study according to the study protocol, GCP and TMP Research SOPs.
  • Participates in all clinical activities related to the conduct of the trial (pre-screening and screening activities, informed consent procedure, randomization, administration and scoring of protocol specific scales, vital signs and ECG recording, visit coordination, sampling, visit scheduling).
  • Maintains regulatory documentation.
  • Reporting of adverse event and serious adverse events.
  • Maintains study specific logs.
  • Maintains patient clinic and research char.t
  • Coordinates brains scans and other para-clinical tests as per protocol
  • Manages the storage, handing and accountability of investigational product.
  • Ensures for timely and accurate transcription of information on source documents, paper case report forms and electronic CRF’s.
  • Ensures that Data Clarification Forms and other queries are responded to in a timely fashion.
  • Travel to attend research and investigator meetings.

Other:

  • Participates in monitoring visits, investigator meetings, site initiation visits, closeout visits and audits.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Knowledge/Experience/Skills:

  • Minimum Bachelors degree in life sciences or equivalent health discipline.
  • Fluent in English with excellent writing and communication skills
  • Current GCP training certificate an asset
  • SoCRA or ARCP certification an asset
  • Familiarity with major issues in Alzheimer’s disease, dementia assessments and rating scales an asset
  • A high degree of professionalism at all times (discretion, judgment, diplomacy and tact)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $40,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year
