The Corporation of the City of Brampton is committed to celebrating and promoting diversity and inclusion and to ensuring access and equity. Reporting to the Manager Equity and Diversity this role will focus on facilitating the development and execution of a corporate diversity, equity and inclusion strategy through partnering with internal and external stakeholder groups to champion community outreach initiatives and ensuring diversity and inclusion strategies and programs are embedded within core processes and day-to-day operations across the Corporation and within the community. This position will have a special focus on creating and implementing a Black African & Caribbean Social, Cultural, and Economic Empowerment and Anti-Black Racism Unit; and will facilitate the goals of this unit to develop an action plan to eradicate systemic anti-Black racism in the City of Brampton and uplift the social, cultural, and economic position of the black community.
