What are your areas of interest in research?

I am a Biostatistician and researcher with diverse education background in Public Health, Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Clinical Research. I have Masters in Biostatistics (minority in Epidemiology) from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran and PhD in Public Health from University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. After immigration to Canada, I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Research from Academy of Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences in Toronto, to improve my skills and experiences in conducting clinical research especially in clinical trials.

I was Assistant Professor at Kerman University of Medical Sciences, Kerman, Iran where I taught Biostatistics, epidemiological and research methods subjects. While, I conducted research studies on infectious and non-Infectious diseases at different academic research centres, my main studies was on HIV and AIDS in Iran, Australia and India using cross-sectional and longitudinal designs. I conducted my PhD project to model survival following HIV and AIDS in Australia nationally.

Having worked as statistical analyst for several years, I have applied various statistical methods (parametric and non-parametric) for data analyse by using SPSS, STATA and SAS (Analytics Software & Solutions).

To enhance my skills and data analysis with SAS, I have obtained certification as SAS Base Programmer specialist by SAS Global recently. 

Currently, I am looking for positions to contribute in research studies especially clinical research/trial and also statistical programming and analysis with SAS.
